Noa’s Bear Colour Study

This was a bear fur colour study for the Noa’s Bear commission. I wanted to experiment with the colour and laying down the fur.

After the under painting I mixed some yellow ochre pale and titanium white and burnt sienna in varying quantities. The tone of the fur should match the tone of the feature. Used a nice soft brush. Looked quite effective in the end.

Tired opaque paint for the blanket but didnt turn out that well:

Added in blue to go darker. Do not do this for the actual one. Mix in the cool purple instead.

Need to attempt the blanket. Going to do a glaze of a grisaille.
