Wanted to have a go at an orchid. Came to it late in the day so used artificial lighting.
Used a canvas, and put on some lines of the obligatory shapes. Moved round the canvas filling in the colours. Think I mixed my colours well but I’m just so disappointed with the result. I ran a brush of the edged at the end which has muddied the colours I think. And made it look messy.
I think use a board next time, avoid the edges until the end and get the colour notes down. Just so the study method.
Glad I did it but didn’t turn out how I wanted. Next time. I think darken the leaves as well. Maybe do that tomorrow.
